Are you a dynamic, skilled and creative professional?

We have been delivering a pilot programme - Keeping Families Together Team for the last 2 years with a clear aim to provide Edge of Care work with complex families who are at risk of coming into care and who can be supported to reunify back home. This has been a huge success and we are now introducing 3 new roles as the next phase of the pilot programme to extend our reach to support families at risk of entering into statutory social care.

The team of 7 staff provide direct intensive support to children, young people and their families over a period of 12 -20 weeks. 

The post holders report to the Deputy Team Manager – KFT .  

To be successful in this role you will have the ability to:

  • Have extensive skills and experience of engaging families
  • Be tenacious and engage well with complex families and young people
  • Support families to develop and maintain skills to prevent escalation into statutory services
  • Work with a range of professionals to improve outcomes for children and families

To be successful in this role you will need the ability to work flexibly including evenings and weekends.
