Would you like to lead and develop a growing outdoor nursery team? We are setting up an outdoor nursery that will allow children of 2-5 year olds to enjoy the wonder of nature. 

We are looking to recruit a highly experienced and qualified Manager who can develop our vision of establishing and leading a high quality, creative, loving and nurturing outdoor nursery provision.

We follow the Early Years statutory framework to guide adaptions to our curricular practices and enables our learning to be child-led and individualised. We offer a high quality, inviting and safe learning environment that is well-equipped to support children’s development, as well as a breadth of support and experience from strong leadership across our existing EYFS provisions in the Avanti schools.

As the Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring that nursery life is safe, stimulating and compliant with EYFS, Ofsted and safeguarding
  • Oversee the day to day management, staffing, organisation and smooth running of the nursery. This includes good long/medium/weekly plans for each age group and effective organisation during the day with clear roles and
  • Leadingthestaffteamtodeliverhigh-qualitypracticewithintheThisincludes effective supervision, providing day to day guidance, training and support to all staff.
  • To give guidance to staff in providing a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for the children in the setting.
  • To work as part of a team in order to provide a caring, inclusive and safe environment, ensuring good communication and that every person feels valued.

You need to be able to demonstrate that you have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Years.
  • A minimum of Early Years Level 3 qualification or QTS
  • Significant experience of leading and supporting teams and the overall day to day running of a nursery and identifying training needs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • skills to be able to communicate with a variety of audiences.
  • A good understanding of children’s development and their needs.
  • Experience of working or leading an outdoor nursery provision

Due to the nature of this role, it will be necessary for the appropriate level of criminal record disclosure to be undertaken. This post will be exempt from the provisions of Section 4 (2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
