Head of School Effectiveness and Early Years - MG4


Harrow Council’s People Services Directorate are looking to appoint a Head of Service for School Effectiveness and Early Years on a permanent basis to help Harrow to be a great place for children to live and to learn.

We are looking for an outstanding professional who has significant experience in school improvement to provide strategic leadership - working within a dynamic local school improvement landscape - to ensure that Harrow’s schools and Early Years settings continue to improve and innovate, ensuring that they offer an outstanding education for all our children and young people

You will have a passion for raising standards, building successful partnerships and improving learning, by working effectively with headteachers, school leaders and PVI managers to raise standards. You will have well developed skills in leading and managing educational initiatives and be able to provide high quality support and challenge to schools, taking a strategic lead for our Early Years and School Improvement strategies.

Your responsibilities will include the implementation of the Council’s priorities in respect of school and children’s achievement, leading the development of inclusive policies, strategies and projects that raise children and young peoples’ achievement, as well as ensuring the service operates within a sustainable operational model.

There will also be a market supplement of £6000.
