The Adult Services department within the Peoples Directorate is looking to a Care Support Worker to join their team on a Fixed Term Contract until 08 July 2019. This role will require the successfully appointed candidate to work in a busy Duty Team. The role will require the person to carry out home visits & answering telephone queries.

The post holders will undertake Formal Assessment/Reassessment of need including low level risk assessment. They will also be required to Support planning; and/or Reviews of existing customer support care plans.

The post holder will report to the Team Manager and is expected to work closely with team members and colleagues to ensure the best coordination and efficient delivery of services.

 To be successful in this role you would need to have the below skills & experience:

  • Ability to communicate effectively in person and with telephone callers drawing out key information, identifying risks areas of concerns and using judgement to take forward appropriate actions.
  • Experience of identifying and dealing with complex issues relating to customer needs and determining appropriate course of action.
  • Written communication skills of high standard
  • Experience of providing information and advice relating to the full range and nature of services provided by Adult Social Care, housing and other related services including statutory and third sector organisations.
