The Environment and Culture department at Harrow Council are looking for a Marketing assistant to join their team. The post holder will be required to help establish Harrow Arts Centre and Headstone Manor & Museum as destination venues with a reputation for high quality, affordable and popular arts and heritage activities and quality function venues delivering excellent customer service. They will be responsible for driving income generation through (but not exclusively) ticket sales and space for hire as it relates to Culture, Arts and Heritage. They will implement appropriate office systems and day-to-day management and ensure administrative systems are efficient and effective.

About you

The successful applicant will have:

  • Education to college level or equivalent or has the equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Experience of working and/or studying within an arts and marketing environment or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of arts marketing related software packages such as Spektrix, Dotmailer and experience of desktop publishing.
  • The ability to work well in a sales environment and successfully meet set income and audience targets.
  • The ability to work under pressure and to cope with a range of competing demands in challenging fast-paced situations.
  • An awareness of the importance of customer care, being responsive and considerate of customer needs and dealing effectively with a wide range of clients, partners and other stakeholders.
  • Intermediate/advanced level experience of word processing, spreadsheets and database systems.
  • The ability to work under pressure and to cope with a range of competing demands in challenging fast-paced situations.
