This successful school is seeking to appoint a talented, energetic and well-qualified IT Technician to join an established team and provide ICT support for the whole school.

You must have high expectations of yourself and be keen to reflect the excellent standards expected at this great school, primarily acting as the first point of contact for our school staff on a range of IT issues. You will also support the Senior Leadership Team.

The IT technician will investigate, diagnose and provide technical support for the network, hardware and software problems, so a problem-solving outlook coupled with the right technical skill is vital. Good communication skills are also paramount as the role requires liaising directly with the school’s IT support service provider.

  • The ability to assess and work flexibly according to the needs of the children/staff;
  • Knowledge and awareness of the issues relevant to working within an educational context;
  • A commitment of the safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.

Duties will include:

  • Managing the school network and all that it is connected to;
  • Being the first point of contact with our registered IT support service provider;
  • Provide technical support and training for pupils and staff, delivering guidelines on health and safety in the use of ICT – including any electrical devises and also embracing the safe and legitimate use of the internet and social media
  • Monitor and regularly update and look to improve the school website with a view to ensuring compliance with Ofsted requirements;
  • Keep up to date with ICT developments including Remote Education.
