Overview

This role is for a Community Outreach Worker who will work with Harrows Eastern European community and Childrens Services in creating a deeper understanding of the communities experiences and challenges in order to achieve improved engagement with local resources, leading to greater opportunities for support and outcomes for the children and their families.

About you

You will speak Romanian and have an understanding of the culture within this community and the context of their lived experiences and that of their children here in the UK. You will have a working understanding of domestic abuse and alcohol misuse and the impact on children and their families. You will have an understanding of the statutory role of childrens services and the experience, desire and ability to work in collaboration with qualified social workers carrying out their role with families in line with these duties.

You will have the ability to work with direction but also on your own autonomy, demonstrate creativity and effective communication with families in supporting them to achieve positive outcomes for their children.

You must be educated to a degree level or similar qualification relevant to this role.
