Stanburn Primary School is seeking to appoint a talented and ambitious SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team. We currently have a vacancy which could be based in any key stage but the expectation is that over time, our teachers and support staff teach across Early Years to Year 6 depending on need.

You will join us in our aim to develop all pupils as independent learners who are able to take responsibility for their own learning in order to achieve their best.

Duties & Responsibilities: To work under the instruction of teaching staff/SLT/SENDCo. Work will be under the direction of the class teacher, assisting children in the classroom and providing targeted support for the individual child and/or small groups of children.

Purpose of the Post: To support the education of pupils with SEND to overcome barriers to learning in a mainstream setting.

Experience: Experience of working with primary aged children with ASD, SEMH and/or SLCN preferable. Intimate care may be necessary for specific children.

Closing date: Monday 18th October 2021 (to arrive no later than 9.30am)

Interview: Wednesday 20th October 2021 (TBC).
