Our successful school is seeking to appoint a talented, energetic, proactive, imaginative receptionist. We are looking to appoint someone with experience who is professional and customer focused and to provide an exceptional reception administration service to the school.

As a valued member of the support staff team, you will be based at our front reception desk which is part of a busy school office. The role is pivotal in ensuring visitors and parents are courteously welcomed and assisted in a timely manner and telephone enquiries are directed appropriately.

The office staff provides support and assistance to pupils, parents, teaching, support staff and a variety of visitors to the school. As one of the first points of contact we require someone with a welcoming positive attitude who will be able to engage with everyone and use their initiative to deal with the variety of queries we receive every day.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a working knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures;
  • Have an understanding of SIMS and GDPR legislation;
  • Have excellent Microsoft Office skills;
  • Have experience of working in a busy environment;
  • Be enthusiastic, quick thinking and have excellent organisational skills to prioritise workload in a fast paced environment;
  • Have good communication skills, with an ability to motivate and inspire staff at all levels;
  • Believe in and passionately support the vision, ethos and policies of the school.
